Help with bye-bye concealer application

Can someone help me with the application of the bye-bye concealer?

For as many presentations as I've watched for the TSV and previous presentations of the concealer, I've never seen them show what you wear under the concealer. I am not an experienced makeup user, and I don't want to waste a lot of product experimenting so could somebody advise me on what you put under the concealer. Do you put your normal skin products followed by moisturizer and then the bye-bye concealer? Is there a particular primer that you use after the moisturizer? When I have tried to use my concealer, I don't get the finish shown on TV and I even get some separation/cracking around wrinkles.
