I use several of the Alpha Hydrox products (the face wash and the 12% glycolic Acid Souffle). (Also Retin-A at night). I have noticed some blackheads on my nose and a small area of larger pores below my eyes and on my upper lip. I assume from reading that I also need a BHA product. I don't think AH brand has a BHA. What do you suggest? And when do you apply it? Morning after serum and AHA?

You might enjoy Paula's Choice BHA products. I particularly love her Resist Daily Pore-Refining Treatment 2% BHA.
I use BHA in the morning (after cleansing, toning) and then use AHA at night.

Paula's Choice has what might be the largest selection of BHA products in different strengths and textures.
I'm currently using her BHA 4 percent foam once a week.

I wash my face in the shower in the AM and then when I dry I apply the BHA then Paula's choice sunscreen which is very moisturizing then primer. HTH.You might enjoy Paula's Choice BHA products. Is there a drugstore product (or Ulta) that is a BHA? Paula's Choice is a bit pricey for me.

Neutrogena makes a Blackhead Eliminating Cleanser/Mask for 7.49, says you can use it daily as a cleanser or as a mask. I would think that would be a couple/few times a week for the mask idea, main ingrediant is Salicylic Acid. I just googled and I thought that looked interesting as I am a mask junky and the price is right. Good luck with whatever you choose...
eta~ might be a good one for just spot treating those areas a couple times a week too.

Check on paulaschoice.com website for BHA recommendations. She has many different forms of BHAs which are extremely effective. You have to be very careful about which BHA products you buy. Just because a product has salicylic acid in it, it doesn't necessarily mean it's going to be effective. The product has to be at a certain pH or it won't be effective. Again, Paula's website is a great resource and will explain what to look for in a BHA product.

Thank you for your recommendations!

The only one I use is considered a BHA, but uses plant/fruit enzymes (no salicylic acid) which I find to be effective and you really only need to use it once or twice a week. Suzanne Organics Peach exfoliator 5 oz., lasts eons.
