Help please with Calista hot rollers

I bought the long set of the Calista Ion hot rollers a few weeks ago when they were the TSV. Finally decided to get them out and try them before the return period is over. Think I have a defective set. The indicator light on all 12 of the rollers failed to turn red--just stayed black. I tried turning the base off and back on again, turning the rollers, and making sure they were pushed all the way down on the base. Would any of you know what else I could try? Maybe I'm missing something I should be doing and just don't know about. Suggestions would be much appreciated! Thanks.

It's not you....it's the product .  Bought twice & both had 3-4 that never heated or changed to red.

I just bought Remington from Amazon.  $14 range.

Lots of problems with her product.

Sorry, @qualityshopper, but I think you received a bad set, too, which doesn't surprise me.  They've been faulty in the past as well.

You're supposed to be able to plug the base in, turn the power button "on" and wait a few minutes for the rollers to heat up.

@qualityshopper.  Before you give up, try plugging into a different outlet.  If they then don't work, pack and return.

You have to wait until after you turn them on for them to heat up and the dot should turn red.

Re: Help please with Calista hot rollers

@rms1954 --According to the instructions, it should only take 3-5 minutes to heat up. I waited about 15 minutes, or more, and still no red dot.

@Kachina624 --Thanks for suggesting trying another outlet. I had forgotten that option. Unfortunately, it didn't make any difference.

@JeanLouiseFinch and @fthunt --I think you're both right about my having a defective set. Not sure what I'm going to do. I should just return it, but not sure. The curlers did heat up, and I was able to put them in my hair, so maybe I could still go ahead and use. Just wouldn't have the red dot to go by. I'll have to think about this.

@qualityshopper  The rollers don't turn red when you turn them on.  They start black and wait, she says about 3 mins., and when they turn red, they are are ready to use.

Here is the link to the presentation.  She shows this at around the 6 min. mark.  Hope your set works.

Oh, I forgot to ask the following. I've read on some reviews (or wherever?) that, when you place each curler onto the base, you should hear a click. I tried and tried, but no click. Would any of you know if this is true? If so, maybe that's my problem??

@NYCLatinaMe --You probably didn't see my post at the time you posted, but I was aware that the red dot doesn't show up right away. As I mentioned in my previous post, I waited for at least 15 minutes, if not longer and nothing. But thanks for sharing that info.
