Help new oils vs old version oils

I have been using the old version pomegranate and tea tree oil that run 20.00 dollars . I'm interested in trying the new version of the tea tree or pomegranate and the price run around 54.00 . I'm wondering if anyone used both version and can tell me if they notice any differences . Some people on the reviews say the newer oils are heavier and the smell is even stronger . I have thin fine hair and to be honest even with the older version by the second day after using I'm needing to wash my hair again so I'm really not wanting even heavier but I would if it can improve my hair even more . The older version scents don't bother me but I would be concern if the new oils are even stronger any comments would be greatly appreciate
