Help me with my lips please!

I am having severe lip dryness and chapping on my lips. I have a ring around the lips themselves, not on the skin around the lips, with small fluid-filled bumps near the edges. I can't put anything on them and eating hurts. I have never had this before.

I don't know what is causing it. I don't lick my lips ever. I have been under stress in the last two months because we decided to sell our home, put our stuff in storage and move in a small apartment until we retire in two years so we can pay cash for our retirement house. Could that cause this lip problem or could it be a medical issue? Please advise.

I have been using both vaseline and aquaphore but it is still happening. They are so sore and I can't figure out what is causing this.

When the usual lip products don't work on me, I use a triple antibiotic ointment for a few days.  I know then that I have more than dryness and it usually clears up quickly.  You could have a low grade infection going on.  If the antibiotic ointment doesn't work, I coat with Abreva.  That has worked for me everytime.

If that didn't clear it up......to the doctor.

That's why I showed you the picture of 'Vaseline Lip Therapy' -

It's very thick and protects the lips, the best thing I've ever used!

This is not just regular thin vaseline.

Could it be an allergic reaction to something you're eating or drinking?  Stress also does nasty things to our bodies.  I hope you find a solution.

I ended up having to switch toothpaste, Colgate and I don't agree with each other! I use Laneige sleeping Mask and it has helped tremendously.

@Squirrel Lover  Not sure what's going on and I haven't read the other responses but I definitely think it could be stress induced, your immune system may be out of wack .... it could be viral, or dermatitis, an allergy to your toothpaste, etc...I hope you can find relief.

Also, I need to introduce you to  @Squirrels Are Trash ! Where you at? When I saw your name I immediately thought of her! haha
