Help me please find something for my very dry ends.

When I wash, dry and flatiron my hair with heat protector and Moroccan oil or Kiehls hair oil my hair looks good. But by day 3 the last 4 inches of my hair is noticeably dry and not so straight. I try to wash and condition every third or fourth day and by that time throw it up onto a ponytail. M hairdresser suggested hit straightener balm to Dr to my wet hair in addition to the other products. But it’s the third and third day that it doesn’t look good. Also I think my roots are kind of oily by then and no I don’t put any products at the roots.

Do what will make your ends look best .... just get a trim.

My beauty shop (Ulta) washes mine every week and only puts conditioner on the ends at my request.

I will ask them what they use...I really like whatever and it is very effective.

Have you tried a bonding rinse-out conditioner or a bonding leave-in on the ends?  They make your hair soft (too soft for my fine hair) but help.

You're lucky you can go 3 days without washing. Your roots/scalp can't be that oily if you can do that.

I don’t need a trim, in fact I had one two weeks ago. It’s the last 4 inches of my hair obviously from hair dye and heat.

@Allthingsgirly67   My suggestion is always using a deep conditioner...the kind you leave in for 1/2 hour w/ a shower cap. I do it once a week especially since my hair got more dry when it went silver.

It's also OK to reapply oil just on the very ends on days before the next shampoo. If your roots feel oily before wash day, maybe try putting conditioner only mids to ends and keep it off the roots. I also use dry shampoo.

Re: Help me please find something for my very dry ends.

sounds like you ends are fried from the flat iron.  idk what would fix that other than a healthy cut, you may have to give up some length.   i have a perfector hair tool i use to smooth down my hair. i air dry and then use the perfector.
