My daughter and I are dealing with dry hair lately. I'm 61 and she is 30, and for some reason we are just not getting good results with any shampoo and conditioner lately. She has long, curly hair and my hair is just all over the place. It used to be straight, but menopause had it's own ideas about making it wavy, dry, whatever. I would really appreciate any recommendations for hair products ...shampoo, conditioner... to deal with dry hair without weighing it down. TIA.

Shea Moisture at WalGreens. THeir shampoos, conditioners and treatments are very moisturizing and smell great!

try washing just the scalp - but with very little shampoo- and that will help with the dryness of your hair. as far as conditioner goes, i just use an inexpensive brand. I think the after-product is more impt and spend my $ on that.

I have thick wavy hair. I've always been a hair product snob. :-) However, about 2 months ago, on a whim, I purchased the Loreal Advanced Haircare Power Moisture shampoo and conditioner. I'm still using it and loving it. I can hardly believe it's a drugstore product.

I have used Wen for over 2 yrs now and just starting using Redkin this week & my hair has never looked better! It's expensive though. The Shampoo was $15 and conditioner was $18.

Thanks to all of you. I am going to look into everything. We really, really need to do something!
As far as Redken, I remember using Amino Pon many years ago. I know they have great products.

Isn't that less expensive than Wen? Do you have to use as much?

A 32oz bottle of shampoo/conditioner is as much as wen but lasts probably 20 times longer.
