Can't believe it took me almost a minute to figure this one out.

I have been using philosophy "Back to Nurture" oil gelee. It has been a huge help for this winter dryness for me.
It is not "pure" oil (like only argan oil or whatever in it) but it feels fabulous, absorbs quickly, and has helped me a lot.
The only thing I don't like is that it is perfumed.

You are so right.
I had skin most of my life that tended to by oily. Thought I hated it, UNTIL I got dry skin from probably hormones and using Retin-A.
Now, I am trying to counter act dryness, which is literally PAINFUL.
Also, my skin wants to BREAK OUT when I try to put moisturizing products on it!

So I'd recommend using a product that has hyaluronic acid in it and using a moisturizer over top of it that has glycerin in it because glycerin attracts water from the atmosphere. And make sure the moisturizer you use is heavy duty. If you don't feel softer skin in a couple of days, than the moisturizer isn't working. A couple of moisturizers that I think work are Skinn's Collagenesis Age Prevention and Skinactives Antioxidant Day cream and their revitalizing night cream. There is a difference between hydrating and moisturizing. IMHO, it sounds like your skin is dehydrated so you need both.
There was concern about ingesting hyaluronic acid, but from everything I've read, that has been debunked. I could find nothing regarding hyaluronic acid being applied to the skin. It is being used as a hydration replacement for eye surgeries such as Cataract surgery.
I could find nothing indicating that hyaluronic acid causes cancer.

Hahaha........well really there is no such thing as hydraulic acid, but they are the liquid version of pneumatics and a liquid vehicle. I just can't figure out a way to put them onto my skin.

I'm thinkin' happy housewife is confused.
Hydraulic fluid, sure, I see that as being problematic, but I don't think there is anything out there to substantiate that hyaluronic acid causes much of anythig harmful.

Not sure what Dr. Denese products you are using so this info may or may not be helpful! Are you using the Hydroshield serum? What about the Med MD Clinical Reserve Crème? I find these two products to work very well together. My skin also gets much drier during the winter months and what I have found helpful is to add argan oil to the moisturizer. (Sometimes after rinsing my face (using no cleanser) in the morning, I will apply a generous amount of argan oil to my face and let it absorb completely - this provides an extra boost of hydrating). Also, be sure that the facial cleanser you are using is gentle and not drying. My general rule is that I just use more of each hydrating product during the winter months. I think it important to stay hydrated and also take fish oil. Your days of thinking your face looks like a prune will be nothing more than a bad memory!!! Hang in there!!!

Another fan of Josie Maran's argan oil! It is great for my dry and sensitive skin. I realize there are less expensive argan oils out there, but with my skin sensitivity I don't want to take that risk of trying them during the winter months when my skin is super-sensitive.
