Morning ladies from Northern California. My daughter texted me that she has a job interview for a medical position next Friday, April 15th. It is an on call position and she just got promoted to full-time head cashier at a home improvement store. So this is a hard decision for her if she gets the job offer. But this is what she texted me when I asked if it was full-time:
I have to be available three week days and every other weekend. It would be hard to try to coordinate two jobs with these hours at the medical position. This is an on call position floating between pediatrics and women's health. I know it is not full-time that has been rollin through my head alot but the pros of this is: 1) the HMO she wants to work for, 2) foot in the door, 3) in a town that is pretty close and a great facility, and 4) although I love making great money I'd love to go to a place I enjoy because I'm happy in that setting. I'm a great head cashier but I'm not happy there.
I am so proud of raising a daughter who has perserved through a tough time for her. I am proud that she has thought this through for what is best for her. I am proud that she has taken the cashier job and got promoted to head cashier and was willing to take shifts when anybody called in sick. It has been so hard for her to be able to budget her bills not knowing from one paycheck to the next how much is coming in.
You are all the best. I have asked for prayers for her in the past, for Tissyannie's son, and you have always come through for me. I try not to think about this all the time as it brings me down. So I pray, think of her often, and then go on about my day. Thank goodness I work full-time where there is enough drama for a dern soap opera. Then I come home, tend to my dogs, pack my lunch to get ready for the next day at work, and watch TV a little, then on to bed.
Thanks so much if you are still reading my post at this point and I am again asking for your prayers and best wishes for her.
