Heidi's eyes on the Philosophy show - in close ups - are the black marks eye shadow tricks of some sort?

Is she doing some sort of contouring in her inner corners with those black lines, or does she have a black eye she is trying to cover? I can't tell which way she is going with her "look".

ETA:

You know how Mally and others are always showing us how to use a highlighter color in the inner corners and under the eyes? It looks like Heidi has drawn around her eyes in those spots with a dark brown pencil instead of a light colored pencil.
