Salons reopened yesterday in my state. I was the first client invited back when the doors reopened this morning for the first time since March 17. Pedicure! Mani tables were waiting for plexiglass shields to be installed. My nail tech will call as soon as they are ready.
Also booked an appointment for a haircut for next Thursday. Letting my roots go for now. Not that bad and I really have no where to go.
The salon is small and 100% compliant with all covid-19 protocols.I felt very comfortable going there and gave a very generous tip to my nail tech.

Salons opened yesterday here in NJ and I got a haircut!! Appointments were set up in advance, temperature taken, masks worn by all plus more. Price was the same as always. I gave everyone a Christmas equivalent tip.
I was desperate for a cut. My short hair was all grown out. I color my hair myself and don't do mani/pedis.

The salon both my sis and I go to is now open but hours for each operator are staggered. They have notified all patrons of precautions and how things will be handled.
My sis has an appt. on 7/1 and mine is on 7/4. My last hair appt. was January 22 so I can't wait!!

I just today got my confirmation text from my hairdresser for my 2nd hair appt. First one was back on May 15th. It was fine. My one and only time to wear a mask so far through all this. Waited in my car for her to get me and she showed me after she washed out my color the method for sanitizing the chair I was just in. Would do the same with the chair for cut and color after I left. Noticed some older (about 70's) customers who slipped their masks off since having a hard time talking and breathing with them. Good experience and so glad to go back. July 3rd coming soon for next appt.

Yes. I went the second week she was opened. She is in a salon suite so it is just her and one other stylist in her room so there were four of us total in there. Large enough and constant cleaning so I felt completely comfortable and no concerns while there.

@queendiva : I've had two pedi appts and two haircuts in two different places.
The hair salon is really being cautious and allowing 15minutes between each appt to allow hairdresser time to disinfect. She disinfects the shampoo area as soon as she's finished with me. We both wear masks the entire time. They only have 6 chairs and all have always been spread out.
I got a pedi the week after they opened. The employees were all masked but there were several young women (I'm 75 so they're young to me, about 40) who were not. I was not comfortable with that even though my mask has a filter
When I returned last week it wasn't very busy but the customers all had masks on. Hopefully that will be more often than not. luckily the girl who does my pedis likes the chair at the far end

2nd time back. we all wear masks, keep distance and everything else pretty normal. Nail salon the same, plexiglass and mandatory masks.

No - I decided to let my hair grow a while.
She isn't open every day - and has made house-calls to one or two of her older patrons.

I went today for the first time in 3 or 4 months, got a hair cut. I needed it desperately and it feels and looks so much better. There was only one other person in there getting her hair done, and two other stylists.
My beautician is the owner, she said they now have the ok to have 66 percent capacity, but she is keeping it lower than that.
She did take my temperature, and had me sign in with my name, phone number and she recorded what my temperature was by my name.
