Paul Mitchell used to have a flexible hold hairspray I loved. It wasn’t crunchy but had a nice flexible hold

Im crazy about Kenra Dry Texture Spray.  I use it too add texture and as a hairspray.  It's very good and doesn't leave your hair stiff like you mentioned.

I hope this suggestion helps.  Good luck with whatever you try.💝🌸

I LOVE Kenra Volumizing Spray, use it all the time.

Kenra's products are among the best!

After all these years of using Sebastian Shaper Plus, I may have had one or two cans that the nozzle would clog up and I would just run the nozzle under hot water and use a Q-tip to wipe the excess off.

I'm wondering if the clogging of the nozzle is related to humidity? I moved from a very dry climate to a more humid climate? I've tried the hot water but what helps is recommendation from the forum friends is soaking the end of can in a shampoo hot water bath. Then pick the opening with a needle if needed. If that doesn't work then its tossed.

@luvboyds   I rarely use spray, but when I do I love the Bumble Bumble hairspray in the blue can. It's lightweight without a strong obnoxious fragrance. I think it's called a workable spray and it's never stiff.

Another vote for Kendra volumizing hairspray. Every time I try to save money by buying something cheaper, I end up regretting it.

My fave was Joico Ice--- got the huge size at TJMaxx for a long time for $10 but now its gone and haven't found any anywhere. I use Tresemme FREEZE-----I need heavy duty stuff as my hair is garbage and needs control!!!   Am done with expensive stuff anymore-----
