I stopped going to the salon for haircolor but I've had no luck coloring my hair at home with a box color.
My natural color is med/dark brown but when I purchase med/dark brown with either Revlon Colorsilk or Clairol Nice n Easy, my hair turns JET black.
I follow the instructions on the box and with the Clairol that used yesterday I only left the color on 13 minutes and today my hair is black. Not brown but black and it makes me look so much older in my opinion.
Is there a secret to coloring your hair at home and getting the right shade desired?
I haven't been to the salon in several months for my color but I'm almost tempted to say that (for me) paying for the RIGHT color is worth every penny than ending up like Elvira and we're 6 days from Christmas.
Just makes me so mad.
Please share your suggestions if you color and home and have found you get the RIGHT color from the box.
