Does anybody have a sunscreen for hair they can recommend? I do wear a hat but am out in the sun hours each day. It fades my color so much quicker, and dries out my hair. I have medium brown, long, color-treated hair. I want to keep my color from turning brassy and fading.

Thanks in advance. Have a good day!

I was looking for a sunscreen for the part in my hair, the scalp is exposed to the sun. I haven't tried any yet but Coola and Sun Bum both make products for the hair.

@Jordan2 Thanks, I have both the Coola and Sun Bum products coming to me from Ulta. I also want to protect my scalp too.

The UV from sun exposure can cause the hair follicles to prematurely go into the shedding phase of the hair-growth cycle. I always wear a hat in the sun. I have thinning hair as it is.

Hats are good but get one that has a UPF rating. UV rays go right through most regular kinds of hats but UPF-rated hats block the UV which is what causes bleaching and sun damage.

I wear a UPF hat when out in the sun for any time.  Especially when mowing pastures for over an hour at a time.  I agree with @SilleeMee about getting a sun protection hat.
