How do you clean out - unplug- hair spray nozzles?

Sometimes hot water will work but not aways.

Soaking in hot water, then poking the opening with a fine  sewing needle.  Sometimes it works, and sometimes it is a lost cause.  I have had to throw out some aerosoles, not just hairspray, because of hopelessly clogged nozzles.

Do what we do in shops.  Soak the nozzle in hot soapy shampoo water.  Shampoo is made to break down hairspray and other hair products.

I hold the nozzle under hot running water and pick at it with my fingernail.

@Carmie Well, that is totally logical and I should have thought of it!

To help prevent the nozzle from clogging, turn the can up-side-down when your done with your hair and give it a quick spray (do that into a trash can or towel). That will clear out any residual liquid inside the nozzle and keep it from drying down to a clog.

@granddi

I do exactly what @SilleeMee suggested and works like a charm.

And @SilleeMee  while I think of it wanted to see how you're doing on your Evenity?

For my situation I wouldn't take Fosamax and listened and used your advice on the silicone dioxide supplement.  I mixed in with my bone broth daily.  Just had a Dexa scan, no bone less compared to 2 years ago and I consider that good news!

Told my doc that I'd like to try Evenity, he thinks our plan allows for Prolia, will see how that goes.

@JeanLouiseFinch  For aerosol spray that's what I've always done.

I spray my hair and immediately rinse the nozzle before setting it back on the counter. zero plugs!

in the past, hot water and a needle did the trick.
