Does this thing work. My hair is thinning and am watching the demonstration on now. A lot of money, wonder if it works.

As usual, it seems to work for some, not for others. Just have to try for yourself. I found my FACE getting fuzzy from my LightStim(!) so infrared can definitely cause hair growth!

I personally don't want to use Minoxidil primarily because I"m lazy, but if I was more motivated, maybe.

If you decide to get it, hope it works for you!

I think it would depend on what was causing your hair loss/thinning. You know that if it really worked for everyone that Lisa would have nice thick hair again. As it is, she swears by Joan Rivers Great Hair Day product.

All you can do is try it.

I would rather buy a few cute wigs or hairpieces. If it really worked there would be no balding people around, and the price would be 10 times higher!

Save your money and purchase Nixion. Works well and cheap to buy. I probably spelled the product wrong, but i'm sure most posters will know what I'm talking about.

Ceci,

After I lost a significant amount of hair after using Wen, I ran around to every doctor imaginable. I went to an extremely expensive dermatologist who specializes in hair loss and even though I have health insurance, I had to pay hundreds of dollars out of pocket for him. He shared with me that he was trying an infrared comb on his own thinning hair and said that the results seemed to be promising so far. P.S. There was no medical or stress reason for my hair loss and my hair grew back when I stopped using Wen.

I learned a lot during this hair loss experience. My huge concern about the TSV combo with Minoxidil, is that it is not being explained that once you start Minoxidil, if you stop it, your hair will fall out and you will revert back to your original state of hair loss. This is a known fact. So, you would have to use Minoxidil for the rest of your life if you didn't want to lose the hair that grew from it. Another thing about Minoxidil is that most people go through an initial period of increased hair loss (before new growth begins) because the Minoxidil is hastening the demise of those hairs that were ready to fall out. This is a known fact.

I suspect that the HairMax comb is being combined with the Minoxidil to ensure that everyone will see hair growth, which is pretty much guaranteed with the Minoxidiil. In other words, the hair growth that people would see from this TSV might really be due to the Minoxidil rather than the HairMax comb.

I only want people to go in with their eyes open about the Minoxidil. Research it and read about how once you start, you cannot stop using it.

You can order the TSV and just use the HairMax comb, but do they sell the HairMax separately at a lesser price?

Personally, I would only ever use Minoxidil as a last resort and only after being told by a doctor (after testing) that that was my only alternative. Even then, I'd probably first try more natural or holistic methods.

I have had and used the hairmax for around two years . For the first 18 months I used it 3 times a week. I did not use minoxidil . I continue to use hairmax once a week and I have used Wen and wen oils since last spring . I continue to experience new growth and my hair is much thicker now. It took several months with hairmax to see results but I really believe it helped a great deal.

I've owned it for 2 months, so it's still early, but it is working for me. I use it with rogaine. I've used Rogaine for a few years now so that wasn't a new product for me. I see measurable results around my hairline, much better than with Rogaine alone. I want to try everything before I have to go the wig route

I'll be considering something like that in the future, but I won't be buying the TSV. Too much $$$. I will say it is the best price I found for that model. You can get one of the lower models for less. I think the one with 9 vs 12 "lasers" runs about $399. I'm not sure why they call it a laser comb if what it is using is LEDs. They don't call the Lightstim a laser facial.

I can't use the Minoxidil. It makes my scalp i*t*c*h. ( I can't figure out why QVC moderators can't figure out how to ban that word with a B and not ban it without the B. It is certainly a valid word for this type of forum). I thought maybe if I kept using it eventually the i*t*c*h would go away, but it didn't. And it was deep down, so I got no relief from trying to scratch it.
