HSN's Ahh TS users?

So I got my Rhonda's Ahh bra as I figured I could wear these under sun dresses, etc and can anyone tell me: Are they suppose to be tight? I wear a size Large top 12, but these were so tight and made my b**bs look flat. I could barely get it over my head! It is the new double knit type. I was just wondering if it is suppose to make your b**bs look smaller? I don't know if I should order a bigger size or if this is how it is suppose to be? Thx to anyone that has tried these before.
