Just read on ModernMom.com that Dr.Oz has made a suggestion that a mask be worn when using mineral makeup(mica specifically) due to the possibility of damage/hazard to the lungs.This really shocked me as my daughter uses the "mineral" makeup daily sold here on Q,and around the kids.Mica is the main ingredient in many of the makeup"mineral" lines sold.How can you use a mask on your face if the makeup is to be used on the face?Also saw similar disturbing discussion on eHow.com;was always wondering how safe, esp. long term use of this mineral esp. with smokers and people with COPD.Mica is mined and miners are encouraged to take precautions, so how safe could it be even used in small amts. every day?Anyone????
