HELP removing click, lock and go sifter

I have tried several times to remove the sifter from the new click, lock and go foundation and have had no luck! I was always able to get the sifter out of the old packaging to retrieve the last few bits of foundation...but I am getting really frustrated!

Anybody know the secret??
