HELP...I'm getting old looking!

OK ladies, I am having some serious problems with the wrinkles around my eyes. I am 52, take pretty good care of my skin despite a little too much sun back when I was younger. This fall, I think I had a reaction to some Mary Kay eye creme I was using, it stung a little while putting on and I thought nothing of it until one morning the skin around my eyes looked as wrinkled as a prune-YUCK!! Seriously, the few wrinkles I had were so bad and my skin was a reddish color and very rough. I have been putting shea butter on them for moisture and it is improving some, but they are still irritated. Any suggestions-I was hoping to get a humidifier because with the cold air it is dry.....but why would my skin take such a drastic change overnight? PLEASE I need your help and reccomendations for a moisturizing eye creme.
