I use Joan's product too but mostly for when I need to color my hair (every two weeks - ugh), but also to add some thickness to my crown. Hoping soon I won't need it for thickness.

maybe I am doing something wrong,the powder looks really splotchy and un-natural...almost looks black and i use dark blonde..

I apply it with a large cotton ball and then brush through my hair. The brush puts too much product in one place. Hope that helps.
