Has anyone experienced and reaction after using good Genes. It’s my second day of using and I have little bumps all over my face.

I also found bumps on my face.  I have sensitive skin and should have known better.  Returning it.

Bellini133   Good Genes is a very active product in the SR line; which is why so many love it. I was advised (years ago) for a TRUEenzyme/glycolic mask, to apply it at night, after cleaning in a thick layer and leave it on for 20 minutes.  I did and my face was RED; like a horrible sunburn red. I freaked out. Everything burned that I placed over it even so called hydrating mists. In the end, I applied a thick layer of Crisco over it and yelled at myself for being stupid.

The next day when I looked at my face, I saw the most GORGEOUS skin I had ever seen in years. I mean.....WOW.  That's when I started doing my research on glycolic  enzymes/peels/active ingredients. Game changer in my skincare routine.

If you have sensitive skin, this stuff may irritate it. You need to be careful. Your skin is reacting the way mine does when something isn't playing nice and I'll stop immediately and wait. If nothing else has changed and the bumps, redness, rash, whatever go away, I know it's the skincare product. HTH!! Smiley Happy

I have a few red spots on my face, but they don't hurt or itch.  So I'm going to keep using the product for about a week and see if there is still a reaction.

@FiddleDeeDee grease may actually exacerbate burns as it can hold the heat in. Cool water is recommended.

I'll be sure to pass that on to those who work in the Johns Hopkins Burn Center where Crisco is used and billed as "C-Cream" to the patients. It's a family member who works there who told me years ago about using Crisco. Smiley Happy

Oh, I wasn't aware that it was severe enough that you had to go to Johns Hopkins Burn Center.

My reaction to it is the norm for a deep peel. The fact that Crisco is used at the JHBC shows that it is safe for burned/reactive skin and allows the skin to heal while water simply makes it feel cool at that moment. It's fantastic for sunburns as well; apply it to a burn and then reapply when it no longers looks moist. Continue to apply until the skin looks constantly moist. Amazing stuff.
