Good Flat Iron...what brand?

Hello beauty experts,

I am in need of a good flat iron. Bought 1 about 4mos ago when I got my new style, it is a Revlon, 1 inch.

It was fine up until about a month ago, the plates started "flaking". They are suppose to be ceramic, so I am not sure what is going on. It looks like "the paint" is coming off in places.

I can't afford an expensive one, but I need a good one that isn't going to need to be replaced or have this happen.

What do you recommend?
