Just received mine last night.  First of all, it didn't hurt. And I'm the biggest baby around,  very low pain threshold.  I used it as directed - about 3-4 mins total,  then put on  Josie's milk and Face butter.    I didn't see any red and this AM, my face is very soft.    I don't see any brightness but its only been one time.   I'm pleased and while I was nervous about the pain,  I am keeping it.
