I have a bunch of cream blushes, lipsticks and glosses that are over 2 years old, that I know I ought to toss because they're way past the expiration date. All I can think of is how little I used them and how much they cost me. In addition, I have nice new products that I am waiting to use until I use the old stuff up. Illogical, I know, because that means the new cosmetics are just aging daily themselves.

Seriously, a lot of the lipsticks and glosses I have are from Holiday Blockbusters or GWP's that are shades I found don't look good on me, but they looked so pretty in the tube/wand. But then again I read once that the colors in these GWP's etc., are colors that weren't popular, so that's why they end up as freebies. We never learn, I guess.

Unfortunately, I do the exact same thing…put away new products to "save" until I use up the old stuff which never does get used up. Last weekend I just decided to go through my drawers and toss out anything I didn't absolutely love and use daily. Then I pulled out some of the new products and put them in the rotation…needless to say I also learned a valuable lesson that I am obviously purchasing too much and need to be more careful. No more buying for me.

It feels good to know I am not alone but I think I too need the courage to toss and keep only what I love!

I do the same thing & now stop myself before I buy something new. I hate waste, yet I'm going to be throwing away products I've never even opened because they are past their expiration date.
