It's worse now than when I was a teenager in the late 70's.
The cat eye is back in a big way.
Actually, going up a little at the outer part of the eye (like a cat eye) can help with your eye not looking droopy with eyeliner. But some of the cat eye today is out there.
Blue eye shadow should be a crime after a certain age. Some women haven't updated!

I totally agree with you however one thing is to play with your mother's cosmetics, high heel shoes, jewelry and so on when you are a girl, I remember doing that.
A different story is a 12 year old actually wearring up make outdoors. I find it disconcerting🌻. I confess that after so much playing I have never wore make up in my life but take were good care of my skin with serums, moisturizers...juts lipstick and mascara when necessary.
