When I gel manicures it actually hurts!  When my hand is under the light, it burns my fingertips (the area where polish has been applied) and the burning does not stop when my hand is removed from under the light.  The pain can last for more than a day.  That is enough discomfort that I rarely get gel manicures.  I did tell the shop owner and he laughed and said 'na, that can be'.  Well sir it happened to me!!!

 

I told a co-worker about this and she said her grandmother had the same things happen to her.
