Did I spell that right? And do I need it on my face?  I was on Amazon to order my essence when this item appeared.  For some reason looking at this word reminds me of those little Pac-Man chompers.  I've probably been that too long.  If you have experience with this ingredient or a science degree or just really smart when it comes to skin care, can you please tell me your thoughts.

I used a Galactomyces essence for several years, under different brands (Tony Moly, Mizon, CosRX, Secret Key).  The galactomyces ferment filtrate was popularized after it was noticed that workers brewing sake had very soft hands from having them in the fermented yeast and someone thought it would be a good idea to capitalize on that as a skin softener for the face.  I like galactomyces essences but I also like some other kinds of essences, non-astringent toners, or a true rosewater used in the same capacity.
