I was gifted the micro needle tool. Directions say apply cream or serum to skin and gently roll over in all directions. I've never used this before, so if there's anything I should know, please send your advice. THANKS!!

I highly recommend that you get a book about needling. I like the White Lotus book. It's easy to understand. No medical stuff which is difficult to figure out. Easy read.
Needling is a serious kind of procedure which needs specific pre- and post- care treatments.
I'm not talking about the shorter .25mm needles but the longer .5mm and up. Big difference.
ETA- I've been needling for over a decade so I know a thing or two about it.

I can't see the roller. Hard to say anything about it. Does the box have anything on it that tells you what size the needles are? If not, I wouldn't use it myself.
ETA- I found it! That brand is KITSCH and it has .25mm long needles on it. That will give you exfoliation but not much else. It will help make your products absorb better. I would use it on clean dry skin and then apply your products afterwards, not while you are rolling.

It's basically an exfoliating tool. It won't stimulate collagen.

No, I would just use the roller on clean dry skin first and then apply your moisture/serums after that. Make sure you disinfect the roller first thing before each use with 70% alcohol. I just squirt some alcohol on it and let it air dry thoroughly before use. After you''re done rolling, run it under hot tap water, douse it with alcohol, let it dry and then place it back inside the storage case. Keep it away from the bathroom. Store the thing in any other place but the bathroom.
