Has anyone tried this $39 + tax lipstick that adjusts to your lip color? It's not the money (I have purchased a Chanel lipstick, etc.), but I don't get this hype. It looks like my Clinique Almost Honey.

No. But I do have their Black Magic lipstick. I do like it. But I feel like this is the same they just changed the name? The Black Magic is moisturizing and gives me just a hint of color.

I've not tried it but have watched the presentations. It always looks too mauve-y to me on every single model I've seen it on. The price isn't a deterrent as much as the strange color. I think it makes the teeth look dingy. My lips never lost much of their natural color (in my 70s now) and I would prefer to have the ingredients in a clear product. I am not a mauve person.

For me, it was disappointing. It just didn't have much color , I know color wasn't the point but it was less than I expected.

I havent tried this particular one, but I did try the one they offered before and It wasnt for me. It turned my lips an awful Burgundy color that was way too dark for me, no matter how little I put on....
A lot of it depends on how much color your lips already have, and mine have a natural peachy tone to them, so this was just too much...I just didn't care for it for me personally. The texture was really nice though and I would consider some of their other lipsticks.....

Gimmick.
Gave as a gift and it was basically an expensive moisturizer with a little bit of color even though the tube looked really dark

Yes I have and use it. I like the way it looks and feels on me, lots of moisture. It is the only lip stick my DD wears and looks different on her than it does on me.
It depends on your bodies chemistry and like most things it's not for everyone. I can only relate my personal experience.

I've been wanting to trying it, but haven't taken the plunge yet.

@CANDLEQUEEN Yep! That's exactly the way it looks on t.v. -- too burgundy -- and that is not the shade for a neutral skin tone (me). Also, I want something long-lasting, and balm-like is not what I look for.

I tried the original, but did not like the color it came up on me. I do buy other Givenchy lipsticks as they are the lipsticks I like best.
