Any thoughts on Lancome Genefique. Appears to be a good buy.

The key active ingredient can be found in many other skin care lines for a lot less money.  Bifida Ferment Lysate

It's a prestige brand--if that impresses you---I had a bottle of it once that I used for a few months--and didn't see much difference really. I think it was in a beauty box maybe---I never bought anymore. I use a few other things that work well. And not as pricy either.  Lancome started as a fragrance house then went into the cosmetic/skincare line. I never wore their scents either, Too heavy for me. So not going to purchase-- but I think this TS is at a good price----was going to suggest--maybe go to ebay and find a sample to try out before you invest so much $$. I do that all the time---has saved me tons of $$.

@wagirl. Thank you. Prestige doesn’t impress me. Actually I haven’t bought Lancôme in a long time. I’ll save my money.

I used this for 6mos to a year and never noticed a difference, middle age with sun damage and pores, nothing crazy. I use Sunday Riley Good Genes and CEO now and satisfied. I will purchase so-called prestige beauty but only if it works. I will buy an $11 Revlon mascara that works over a $30 Difinicils Lancome because the other one works for me. All the Lancome eye creams irritate my eyes terribly, but Tatcha peony cream does not and can be used all over the eye area.

I think Lancome is often very overpriced hype, ingredients are never that impressive to say the least.

  • I have seen the rep today for years...she used to have short hair. She is definitely showing the natural signs of aging under the eyes and lower face. Get real, there is no magic in a bottle.
