Was watching IT Cosmetics the other night.

One of the models has very thin eyebrows, so they did hers.  I could see her real brows under what they applied.  It looked strange.

Am I the only one that thinks they often overdo the brows?  I would never do my brows the way they often illustrate.

I agree.....but i think not only are they going a bit overboard with the eyebrows lately.....but make up overall.......most of the hosts these days seem to have alot of make up on and thicker false eyelashes, etc...................to me...it doesn't do them any favors....

I've noticed that the new trend seems to be thick, painted-on eyebrows.  I agree that it looks funny, especially when you can see the thin line of real eyebrows surrounded by the color that's been drawn on.  Looks bizarre.    I wish that thick eyebrows had been the style back when I was younger and had thick, hairy eyebrows.   Would've saved me hours of time plucking those things!

I can no longer watch the IT Cosmetics shows for various reasons -- and it seems that every time I flip over to QVC, it's an IT show.  Ugh.

@hyacinth003 I saw that show too and her eyebrows looked horrible. I don't think they even took the time to match the color well because it didn't look natural at all.

Ah...yes.

I have an IT brow pencil that I got in a sample bag, and I overdrew my eyebrows with it the other day.  It has one of those stupid tips that is oval instead of having a regular point.

Stupid tip = stupid-looking brows

Not only that, but what is up with companies saying their brow pencils are a universal color?  That's ridiculous.  There is no one brow color for everyone.

Oh how I wish I had eyebrows.  I can count the hairs (on one hand) in both of them.

I had cataract surgery Tuesday and cannot wear make-up until Saturday.  I look like a light bulb. (with nice hair)

Oh my, I feel your pain. I can count mine too. Gone are the days when I had to pluck several times a week. I've taken to wearing bangs the last 2 years in case it's one of those days when I'm in a hurry and don't do a bangup job of penciling them on. Yet as I've said several times on this board when there are discussions of hair loss......it's getting worse all the time with the eyebrow and hair on the head loss yet the chin hairs and moustache keep on keepin on.

@mistriTsquirrel  I have used their universal brow pencil (the original pencil) for years. You can press lightly for a light taupe or heavier for dark brown...no one should have blonde brows, black brows, red brows or grey brows, so this pencil has everyone else pretty well covered.

If you have an occasion to watch the old Perry Mason the eyebrows are just terrible! Too dark, too thick and look like they are painted on!
