They seem so out dated. The Gendel lady from Breezie was just on and her French Manicure just seem old fashion to me. Does anyone else still get them?

Yes. I have a standing appt every 3 weeks and about every 3rd or 4th appt I revert back to a french manicure. When done right it looks neat, it looks clean and it doesn't show the regrowth as starkly as when I get colors. But I do always remind my nail girl not to make the white tip too wide.....hate that. There's a rep on the jewelry channel that has about half an inch of white on hers and the shorter bottom of the nail, about a quarter of an inch or so a pinky color, egads it's awful looking.

Could be. I noted that two of the hosts on JTV had their nails done differently. They look better.

@shaggygirl I know the lady you are talking about on the Jewlery Channel......awful. From what you said, your manicure sounds more natural looking.

I don’t think their out dated at all, it’s just a classic nail design, never goes out of style;  In fact, I recently got a dark gel manicure for something different and hated it, couldn’t wait to get it off...I guess I like a clean look, either a pretty pink or a French, but that’s just me....it’s like a lot of things, if you like it, rock it, if not don’t...no biggeySmiley Wink

When I was getting my nails done I had the french style.  I tried the American and they broke fairly easily.  If I was still getting my nails done I would stick with the french, outdated or not.  Thats just me.

I love a french manicure. But I do think it looks dated when the nails are too long! A shorter version seems clean and fresh.

The fashion magazines seem to show what is current. A clean manicured nail with clear, light pink, or sheer white is what I am seeing. The really dark colors not so much. A French manicure is always classy.

I've never been a fan of French manicures.  Only had it done once.  Not sure whether or not it's "dated", but i don't see much of it these days.
