I purchased several Philosophy fragrances and they don't stay at all. They smell great when applying but then nothing. Anyone else have this issue.

Philosophy fragrances are meant to be subtle. They are not elevator types, where your fragrance overwhelms. Sometimes we get used to a scent and no longer notice it. I love Cashmere Mist and Pink Sugar. I cannot smell either one on me, but others sure can.

Here's my take. Cristina Carlino introduced fragrances that were subtle and inoffensive. Pure grace was my signature fragrance for years.

I understand her thought process here. Fragrance is personal and doesn't need to be shared with the masses. I appreciated the concept.

However, there was a time when others could detect my pure grace. They weren't sure if I was wearing a scent or if I was wearing clothes that were just laundered. They'd ask: "Is that your perfume or your fabric softener?" I wasn't offended; instead, I took that to mean that I just smelled clean.

But now I don't hear anything about my fragrance. I can live with that. But I feel as if I should be able to smell it on myself. I can't.

So what's the point, then, of spraying it on if I can't enjoy the fragrance?

This is why I've stopped purchasing philosophy.

I only buy EDP now. I spend a little more and get a richer and longer lasting scent. I wear Inner Grace and I have both the spray fragrance and the EDP and I can say for this particular scent it's just better in EDP.

fragrance lasts longer on hydrated skin. Put your lotion on when your body is still a bit damp after your bath/shower to lock in the moisture and also put extra of the matching lotion on your pulse points (wrists, inside elbows, neck, etc) then spray on your fragrance. It will last all day.

if I'm using a scent that I don't have a matching lotion for, I will use an unscented lotion.
