Re: Fragrance Dupes - Have You Tried Any or Use Any?

[ Edited ]

I tried a Dossier one. I wish sure I would like all the fragrance notes. That's how a I chose it. IT WAS AWFUL! turns out it was a dupe of La vie a Belle. I hate La vie a Belle.

Hi Moderator Barbara - QVC,

Can you advise why you removed my post.  It was an incomplete sentence "...This post has been removed by QVC because link..." and then no reason.  Please advise so I'll know moving forward what not to include should I choose to post again.

Thanks,

UBB

Re: Fragrance Dupes - Have You Tried Any or Use Any?

I bought a dupe that Target sells, its called Fine'ry Midnight Cafe and its a dupe for YSL Black Opium.  Smells pretty good for 29.99! There are several Fine'ry dupes that Target sells.

I can tell you that Clean Ultimte is a dupe for Pure Grace from Phil, but it is not an inexpensive knock off, just a different quality brand

I thought of that recently and went looking for it.  I hope I'm wrong, but I get the feeling Clean doesn't make their Ultimate fragrance anymore.

Re: Fragrance Dupes - Have You Tried Any or Use Any?

I enjoy dupes a lot.  I have around 100 of them. I go to a site called Fragrantica and enter what I'm interested in.  I check notes, reviews, and what it could smell similar to.  I trust a certain list of vendors (Intense Oud; Aroma Concepts; Triple Traders; Frag Flex; The Oud Store; Beauty House) to purchase the dupes and haven't had any concerns about authenticity thus far.  Baccarat Rouge and Creed Aventus are popular duped fragrances.   I may be missing some...my other very detailed post was removed because I included a link.  LOL!  If you try, enjoy!!!

Re: Fragrance Dupes - Have You Tried Any or Use Any?

I have always loved the discontinued fragrance, Lutece by Dana. Wherever I went, I got compliments on it.
I decided to try fragrance revival because they create fragrances that have been discontinued. They give a money back guarantee. It did not smell anything like the original Lutece. So they gave me the option of trying another fragrance for free, so I tried Tatiana And again, it didn't smell anything like the original. They did refund my money though. From what I read, there are Quite a few happy people that had their fragrance duplicated.

Montagne is exceptional when it comes to dupes. Their version of Lost Cherry had way longer staying power than the original and I have bought other ones from them as well. Other notable names are Oakcha, Alt., DUA.
