Re: Foundation shade question!!

@LadybugDG   I agree with @JudyL ...go lighter w/ the shade. You can use a bit of bronzer or blush or both to color correct, but going too dark can never be brought back to your natural skin color.

Hope this helps.

Re: Foundation shade question!!

I have a large head, one of those who can't buy hats unless it's in the men's department.  So I have a large face.  Used to be a round face, but as the years passed, not as much.  I am very fair.  I made the mistake of getting Laura's last TSV in porcelain.  Although it is a perfect match, I look and feel like a big ole pasty moon face.  With all due respect to the experts, I prefer foundation slightly darker than my natural skin tone.

I mix the IT CC Cream light medium and light - half and half - it's perfect.

I do the same.  I almost always mix two shades of foundation.

Foundation shade adjusting drops.  There are several options available.

@Icegoddess

Oh, never heard of adjusting drops, so I looked it up. Thanks for that big tip. (I'm not a big make-up person, just the basic).

If you are between two shades of color on foundation, is it better to go a shade lighter or darker. I have been using a tinted moisturizer for years that is one shade. Now I have no idea, but I have narrowed it down to 2 shades. Woman Very Happy

Thanks!! Woman Happy

My mother always mixed 2 shades and if she had a bit more color in the summer she'd use the darker of the 2.

Re: Foundation shade question!!

I have no idea what happened to my reply but it was the same as everyone else's, go lighter.  Makeup by Mario has a balm that is quite sheer and can be used to warm your complexion. I use it as a bronzer.
