I know what you mean, MrsSweetieBear, I'm 62 and this was the first time I ever put blush on before powder and I've always worn both powder and blush over my foundation. I wore mineral makeup for years and wore the blush on top of the mineral foundation (I used Everyday Minerals). I'll probably put blush on last as a routine thing, but if I get too heavy handed with the blush as least I know I can successfully put some powder over it and get a good look.
