Foreo Luna and TSV Microdelivery Wash from Phlisophy

Does anyone know if it is OK to use the Microdelivery Exfoliating Wash with the Foreo Luna?   I recall from some source that said to be careful with the silicone finish on the Luna and I am not sure if it is safe to use the MEW, since it has a grainy texture. TIA!

@hb -

From the Foreo Luna Mini Manual:
Avoid using clay-based, silicone-based or grainy cleansers, exfoliators or scrubs, as they may damage the LUNA™ mini’s soft silicone touch points.

I would not use anything even remotely exfoliating with a sonic device or electric brush.  Those devices are exfoliating by nature and adding too it may prove to be too harsh, and you learn it the hard way.  The key word is gentle, so stick with light manual cleaning with those products.  I brush with toothpaste dipped in baking soda and use a regular toothbrush because if I use it with my sonic one, it will be far too harsh on my teeth since the sonic ones already clean so thoroughly.

I rotate between manual, sonic, and chemical exfoliation so no one method is too much on my skin.

Is the Luna like the Clarisonic?  When I bought my Clarisonics, the presentations emphasized using a gentle cleanser like Purity, not anything grainy and exfoliating.

I love using the Clarisonic and I get the results I want,  I use it only at night and only with Purity or a similar cleanser.

I believe my skin would not appreciate having anything more agressive than my fingers used with the MDW; that I use in the morning prior to moisturizing and adding whatever makeup I want.

@hb IMO it's OK. I've been using Philosophy's Microdelivery wash with the

Luna for over a year and it looks the same. No nicks or noticeable damage. This wash does not contain really hard scrubbing particles as it's meant to be used daily.

The Luna is gentle and it does not make the grainy texture of the Microdelivery any harsher on my skin. It feels the same. You can mix it with the purity which is what I do and both last longer.  I place a little of both directly on the Luna and I haven't had any issues. My husband also has a Luna and mine looks the same and he doesn't use the same facial cleanser.

@millieshops  the only similarity is that it's a cleansing tool that uses vibrations.  It has no brushes to replace.  The tool is made from silicone and the cleansing surface has silicone nubs rather than bristles.  I had a Clarisonic clone and it gave me broken capillaries.  I've been using the Foreo Luna Mini AM & PM for a year now and it's fabulous.  The Foreo doesn't need to be charged more than twice a year either.  It lasts me roughly 5-5 1/2 mos. on a single charge.  I bought the real thing when I got mine, but there are inexpensive dupes out there that sound pretty good.

@JeanLouiseFinch  TY-  Right now 'm good with my Clarisonic, but it's been around for a long time, so you know one of these days I'll hit the on button and it will still be off.
