Re: For those who work from home...

Well, I'd love to work from home even 3 days a week like some of YOU!!! I do telework one day per week, I don't get dressed in "street" clothes or put on makeup. I do shower and change into another set of pajamas.

But I am really, really, really jealous of most of you!!!

Re: For those who work from home...

My sister just started working at home a few days a week. Her employer said he dont care what times she works as long as she has 40 hours in. Her plan is to be working at home week when my dad retires in a year so my mom isnt tied down to the kids and they can do what they want.

YES! I have to get up, shower, do hair, makeup and dress for the day! I dress a bit more casually than I might if I went into the office, but never stay in my P.J.s. If I didn't keep a regular work routine, I know my productivity and the quality of my work would suffer.

I am starting my home based business full time in February.

I am getting up at 5:30AM as usual, going to the gym, showering and dressing, all as usual.

If not, I KNOW I would be a slug!

I work from home about 99 percent of the time and have since 2006. I always shower and do my hair and makeup just like i would if i was going out or going to work, but wear comfy clothes, usually yoga pants and a nice but casual top. I hope you enjoy working at home, it is one of the best things that ever happened to me.

Re: For those who work from home...

I have worked from home for several years now. I do travel for work, but if I am not traveling, I am home. I do not get dressed as if going to an office. I usually wear casual clothes while home. Showering before starting the day is crucial because once I start work, there is no time!

I am very disciplined about my work and schedule, though. My job is huge in both responsibility and work volume and I always stay busy. There really is no other option if I want to excel in my position.

I am not sure I could be disaplined enough to work at home.I suppose the key for me would to have a separate office space with no distractions.

My sister works for new housing construction and does specs and her husband does real estate and apprasials. Both so lucky to be at home most of the time

It's nice to know how many of you do work from home. It's catching on more and more. I've worked from home for the past 8 years. I'm up at 7 every day....shower, dress casually, do my hair and makeup consists of tinted primer and lip gloss. I'm ready to go by 8 am. Keeping a regular routine helps me keep a regular schedule. My coworker is my dog and she rarely complainsSmiley Happy.

DH works from home and it does take self-discipline.....I know not everyone can manage doing it well....DH still gets up early, showers, and gets dressed before logging on and contacting his employees for their morning meetings......he wears khakis and a collared shirt now rather than a suit and tie when he was in the office....but he keeps the same schedule basically......

Hi I work from home 100% of the time since I was diagnosed with cancer. Now that I'm in remission - I've started to go back in the office for a few hours once in a while just to be around people again. I get up, shower and dress in jeans/sweaters and do a little makeup - just like a previous poster said so I don't scare anyone that comes to the door! {#emotions_dlg.unsure}

Re: For those who work from home...

Although it sounds like a dream come true, I don't think I could do it!

And I know I'd drive my husband crazy if he worked at home. He does emails and computer work on weekends and I really have to bite my tongue and not bug him. Although he usually comes in and does it in whichever room I'm in. So technically he's following me around!

My BIL works at home whenever he doesn't feel like going in to the office and my sister doesn't bother him all day. But that is their relationship....lol.

I was never a fan of getting up early, but when I had to with kids, I didn't mind getting all dressed up and going to work every day.

Now I don't and love to sleep as late as I want. I don't think I could set the alarm to work at home. Heck I have enough to do around this house and our rentals, but rarely have to be anywhere early. I make all appts. in the afternoon if possible.

I still do hair and makeup even as a housewife and wear comfy clothes, but when heading out -always a heel of some kind....even sandals!!
