For those who have used the Lightstim for a long time...questions for you...

I just received the recent TSV - mini Lightstim. I have a few questions for those who have used the device consistently.

*What is the longest time you should leave the device in one area? I heard the rep. say she sometimes enjoyed the warmth so much she left it on longer than the 3 minutes. I believe she said she's left it there for 5 minutes.

*Can you use it more than once a day?

*Have you found it's better WITH or WITHOUT any serums?

*If you were consistent (at least 5x per week), how long before you could tell a difference in your skin?

I've done it twice already and have enjoyed using it. It's not cumbersome or difficult to operate, and I actually did some "exercising in place" while using it the second time...leg lifts, walking in place, etc. I decided to put my body to work while trying to beautify my skin!

Re: For those who have used the Lightstim for a long time...questions for you...

Have had and been using mine for almost 18 months. I began using it daily for months and only missed when out of town. I have never not used a serum so don't know how it works without. I apply a peptide and the a green tea serum before using. The instructions on the green tea serum (from ncnskincare.com) says to wait 20 minutes before using Lightstim. I started with terrible skin which I have always had. I still look in the mirror and see not so good looking skin but it's better. I've even been surprised with unsolicited compliments on my skin. For me progress has been subtle and if it weren't for those occasional compliments I might not have realized anything was happening. I only use it once a day and will stay on an area longer or go back to a spot to spend more time on it. I don't have time to use twice a day or the patience. I love it it and don't plan to stop. Wish I could be more helpful. My age is 69. Jowly more than wrinkly.

I've never tried it, but wonder why if it works as they say it does, LR has Botox injections for her forehead eleven lines. They say it will remove them.

I got mine the last time it was the special of the day and have used it nearly every day since. I have noticed some difference in the texture of my skin but the 11's are not improved at all. Not really sure if it's worth the effort but will keep using it.

Re: For those who have used the Lightstim for a long time...questions for you...

I have been using my Lightstim for more than two years. When I first got it, I called customer service with the same question about length of time and they told me it is safe to use as long as you would like. More is better.

So, I try to do five minutes on each area as I sit and watch TV at night. I use it five or six days a week. It's very relaxing. if I go longer than five or six minutes, I can see indentations on my skin from the device. They disappear, but, I still try to avoid that. It is also safe to use more than once a day according to customer service.

I use Origins Plantscription serum and I don't know how it would work without.

I think my skin is better using the Lightstim. I didn't use it for several days once and I felt like my skin didn't look as good.

I had a problem with the light going in and out. I called CS and they replaced the cord immediately with no charge. I'm happy with Lightstim!

Customer service told me the same thing as valeriecherich -- you can't overdo it.

DPL has panels that you can use for 20 minutes, so I'm thinking that 20 minutes would be fine.

And I just got the illuMask which is a 15 minute "dose", and that's been fine.

I have had mine for about a year. I enjoy using it, wish it beeped in 3 min. I am always checking time. Be cautious with cord, mine had to be replaced. The cs was great but said you cant pull it or the connection goes bad. She said she uses an extention cord. (I dont). Retin a has helped my skin 100%, this is just a booster to add more collagen. I try for 5-6 nights a week and have been mostly faithful. (I did take a week or weekend off when we go out of town). I like my skin so I just keep doing what Im doing (I am 52)

This is gonna sound stupid, but there's actually an app for this. I have the LightStim app that will time your use.

I think I downloaded mine from the LightStim website -- it linked to iTunes. VERY helpful. I used the "acne" option which was a 5 minute treatment time.
