For the Poo-Pourri bashers ;-)

Was just browsing beauty/spa establishments in my area. I happened upon a local small footprint upscale place (with upscale products and prices to match) patronized by movie/TV people (near a large film studio lot). Among their list of expensive European and American products available for purchase is Poo-Pourri. I am not a Poo-Pourri customer, but I found that very interesting. Wonder what the shop's markup is!

Fine to offer it, not so fine to go on and on about it during live presentations, recounting the episodes, featuring family and friends, when it was necessary... I'm guess the upscale shop sets it out for customers to buy or not, but likely doesn't have their sales staff touting it's virtues as customers roll through the door... There are so many items available on QVC dot com that never see the light of day on-air, so one has to wonder why this is one they've chosen to spotlight as much as they do and in the way they do...

There's only one reason why - money.

Money is always a factor, but I guess I'm finding it a challenge to believe that they wouldn't make quite a bit of money hawking the many, many things they seem to have forgotten they sell! I think there's more to it than simply money related directly to sales... They'd have to sell an awful lot of a a twenty dollar bathroom deodorizer to make it worth prioritizing as they do... Maybe the manufacturer is offering them incentives, who knows...

My first thought was that it would be a natural to market this to actresses/actors. Not thatI've ever spent much time thinking about it before, but if you think about big names attending all the events they do, I'm sure they'd love the "my poo don't stink" idea.

All it is is mineral oil with a bit of scent in it. You could buy mineral oil and have the same results for a lot less money.

There have always been products that do the same thing for about $5 a bottle, without the scent.

I want to know if this stuff really works. Do any of you by chance have it & use it? Does it really do what they say? And is it really just mineral oil w/scent? If so, I'm thinking you could make your own easily & pretty cheaply.

Well, I'm not a basher, but it works. I've been making my own for over a year for pennies.
