My favorite hair dye has been discontinued so I have been re-educating myself and found some good information on the GoodHousekeeping web-site for all hair colors.

The best at home hair colors kits they found are: Clariol Natural Instincts, L'Oreal Colorspa Actif and L'Oreal Paris Excellence To Go.
