Flake free mascara

I am 45 yrs old, wear contacts and am desperately looking for a mascara that does not flake. I don't wear it everyday, so am looking more for a good drugstore brand that also won't irritate my sensitive eyes. I also don't care for the fake eyelash look. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
