First Time To The Derm - 3rd Update

For those that have followed my Derm post and replied - It has been about 6 weeks since I started my routine, and about 4 since I've been using the Retin-A. At my 30 day follow up my Derm replaced the Urea lotion with PanOxyl Benzoyl Peroxide 10% face wash. She wanted to go the progressive aggressive route, and then taper off what I don't need every day and just use it as needed. Hope that makes sense. All I can say is wow! I've only had one very small blemish in six weeks and NO MORE cystic acne. My very fine line on my forehead is definitely diminished, and my marionette lines are gone. I've been asked if I've started Botox, if I've had fillers, and other questions. Some people just say my skin is looking so good lately. Finally..... I found what works for "me". Thanks for everyone's support and to those that encouraged me to see the dermatologist in the first place.

Re: First Time To The Derm - 3rd Update

So glad you are getting relief from acne. I am 48 years old and still use 2.5% benzoyl peroxide gel 1 or 2 times per day to keep my cheek acne away. Before I used benzoyl peroxide gel, I used the Panoxyl BP wash. It is very nice and creamy. I switched to leave on BP because I was not getting clear with just using BP in a cleanser form. I use acne.org benzoyl peroxide 2.5% gel all over my face. I moisturize heavily to combat the dryness from the BP. Everyone is different, but I know that my magic acne fighting ingredient is benzoyl peroxide. The internet has been a great source of information for me. That is how I found ance.org. I have been acne free since October. Woo hoo!! Good luck to you. I know how good it feels to see your skin without pimples and redness!!
