Re: First Aid Ultra Repair questions....

@hopi - I also have both. To me, Josie's is silkier. FAB is great for someone with dry skin. Mine isn't that dry, so I use Josie's and others more.

DH likes FAB. He has dry skin, and he washes his hands constantly. He has tubs of this all over. Josie used to make a product he liked, Whipped Argan Recovery SOS, but it was discontinued.

I use both lines. I have super sensitve skin so I need the unscented. I think the First Aid creme works better for my needs. It also seems to store a bit better depending on what scent of the JM you have.

I much prefer Cerave cream. Which is a staple for me. It's rich and super moisturizing without a trace of greasiness.

I don't like the FAB at all, nothing special in my opinion.  It seems watered down and more like a thick lotion and is not moisturizing enough for my very dry skin.

I've bought and tried it a number of times and always abandon it and start back with my Cerave.

I also never liked the Josie Maran cream it was always too greasy and never soaked in.....

CeraVE is a good basic unscented cream for the entire household. I don't have any skin issues and like to also use other brands - Korres, Perlier, Beekman, Josie with the scents.

@Calibeach

Yes, I agree. I always have multiples of Cerave cream on hand

(costco, best place to buy)

and nothing, that I've tried, moisturizes and soothes my skin better. Just a great all purpose.

But It's just a part of my arsenal, I also use alpha hydroxy 12%, Amlactin, ISDIN urea, and Gold Bond Retinol lotion, body oils and, and.....haha

I also will use some scented creams sparingly sometimes on top of the Cerave on my hands and maybe on the back of my neck just for the scent. I love my comforting foody scents especially during the Fall and Winter....

@GingerHead  I too rotate skin care (facial and body) especially during the winter season. Shopping when there are coupons or special offers to backfill my small stash. Now is a good time to replenish for the winter season.
