Re: First Aid Extra Repair Cream

@furbabylover.  It has probably been almost 10 years ago, but QVC carried that line.  I found it to be effective but sticky.

I try these new things then always revert back to my old standby, Avon Moisture Therapy.  I find it to be inexpensive and effective.  It's even great on fingernails.

I want to like this brand too, but I also notice a strange film or residue on my skin.  I makes me itch and when I scratch it almost flakes off.

I have found Cereve cream (in the tub), not the lotion to be best for my super dry winter skin.

@Kachina624  I recently bought , because of all the great reviews on Amazon, a product called "Surgeon's Skin Secret Beeswax Moisturizer (unscented)" and I am really impressed. Apparently its been around a long time and is used a lot by nurses, etc. Its also inexpensive. You might want to check out the reviews.

I've been using that Surgeon's Secret Stick for a long time. I bought it here and I still have some left. It lasts forever. Q still sells it. I have the lavender. It's good stuff.

I wonder if you used too much of that Surgeon's secret. Not much is needed and it can feel sticky when too much is applied.

@Kachina624  I went over to the Avon site and there are so many versions of Moisture Therapy! Which one do you use?

Re: First Aid Extra Repair Cream

I just received the TSV and found the lotion exactly as I did in years past.  It was absorbed into my skin and wasn't greasy.  I guess different experiences for different people!

Surgeon's skin secret was a huge seller on Q way back when they were a great, innovative company.  Excellent product.  Hope they didn't mess with FAB.  Love the origiinal.

Same here. A little goes a long way with this product. I imagine it might feel greasy (on me) if too much is used.

Interesting.  I wonder if they did change the formula.  I have used this product in the past and never found it greasy at all.  It wasn't moisturizing enough for me so I never repurchased.

@Lipstickdiva

I wondered the same thing. I have purchased it before and never found it to be greasy and it has always been easily absorbed. I still have some. You don’t need very much and sometimes using too much can make a product seem greasy when it is just that there is more product being used than needed.
