I got my gallon! Today I cleansed (the correct way I think) with the tea tree formula. I used one full pump for the 1st cleanse (lost a lot of strands by the way) rinsed out quickly, then did one full pump for the 2nd cleanse (only lost two strands of hair). Left on for duration of shower then rinsed and put pea sized amount of cc on my hair for leave-in. Did I do it right? I ask cause I want to know if it's normal to lose a lot of strands when using this product.
The result: I blow dried today, and it took me longer than usual. I don't know if that's because of the wen. But my hair is now super soft and fluffy. It looks better now at the end of the day than it did at the beginning. Hoping to see more volumizing effects in the coming days.
I ordered the re-moist and tea tree oil. I'm trying to grow out my hair and I heard the oil really helps that.
If any of you have any helpful tips I'd appreciate it.
Thanks!

misslissa, sounds like you did everything right.
. As for losing hair in the shower, many WENners say they lose hair in the shower but don't shed the rest of the day. WEN really cleanses your scalp and gets rid of any product build up that might be holding hairs on that are ready to come out. Most people lose between 50-200 hairs/day, so that's sort of a gauge to go by.
As for a longer drying time, I really can't say for sure, but it may be because your hair retained more moisture, which is why it's soft. I would suggest you make sure it's at least 50% dry before you start using your hair dryer. Use a soft towel, old tee shirt, something without a lot of loops, to squeeze the water out of your hair, then let it air dry for a while.
The tea tree oil will make your hair grow crazy fast.
Welcome to WEN!!

Sounds like you're on the right track!
What type of hair do you have? What length is it? That will help determine how much CC to use. My hair is fine in texture, but thick, heavily layered. Shortest layer is jaw length, longest is just below my bra strap. I use one pump (love my TT gallon) for each cleanse, then a dime size amount as a leave in, applied to soaking wet hair.
I find that I lose a lot of hair when I cleanse with Wen, more in my first cleanse than my second. What I don't notice is additional hair loss throughout the day. I no longer notice stray hairs on my chair, pillow, clothes, etc. I think the additional scalp massaging that is necessary with Wen cleansing helps to loosen the hairs that are ready to be shed.
I think you'll be happy with the TT oil, I noticed increased growth once I started using it.
My biggest hints: once you apply the CC (focusing on your scalp), add enough water to emulsify it before you start to massage it in. I stick my head back underneath the shower head for two seconds, that's how much water I need. The CC will "bloom" as you work it in, the consistency changes as it emulsifies and it become very easy to spread throughout your hair. You'll know when you're using enough CC if you comb (or rake your fingers through) your hair and have a "line" of CC on your comb. You want to see that bit of CC, that means you're using enough. If you're raking out globs of CC, you might be using too much. Also, rinse, rinse, rinse, then rinse some more! Good luck!

1 pump x2 is for hair that is about chin length or shorter. Also don't forget the splash of water after you work the CC in your hair. The CC needs to penetrate to your scalp, if it doesn't you need more.

Thanks for the responses. I used 1 pump because my hair is medium length but it is fine. I did the 2 second water splash and the cc definitely "bloomed".
I now know that when I tried wen 3 times before I was not using enough. But I like the result today. I cannot wait to see what kind of condition my hair is in tomorrow, and if I have to wash it or not.
I should be getting the remoist w/ the oil on monday.
I'm so excited this is working!

hi misslissa - it's recommended to use daily when you start using WEN to give your hair and scalp a chance to become used to this new method of cleansing, for a few weeks @ least. Chaz has this info on the studio web site and I think it is not mentioned often enuff during his presentations.
