I think most nail problems are caused by them becoming overly dry.  That's why any oil or cuticle cream helps so much.  Polish and remover contain a plethora of drying chemicals that do really bad things to the nails.  I notice a big difference in the fall as soon as I turn on the heat...instant dry nails so that's when I really hit the oils and creams.

having tried virtually every process except gels (absolute no from my tech) and myriad products I’m finally accepting what a dermatologist told me over 30 years ago. —  you can’t always fight genetics.

Of all my siblings only one had bad teeth. —  glad that wasn’t me

only one of us has weak nails. -  I wish that weren’t me but at least I’ve stopped wasting dollars trying to fight

I started taking Omega 3 for another reason.    Six months later, I had hard nails that didn't split or "fray"..............

I do use the Beekman cuticle cream, so maybe that is helping also..

My manicurist said that maybe the nails were dry so no stregtheners or hardeners...

But will try some of your ideas...

Thanks!

Appreciate your help!

During the shutdown I picked up Beekman's Cuticle Cream. This stuff is awesome! I use it faithfully every night even though I am now back to getting manicures. I use regular polish and bring my own stuff to the salon. The Beekam boys did a great presentation of this and I was not disappointed. Plus it's all good ingredients.

This works great for me as well. I did the same thing because with all of the vigourous hand washing dried my cuticles out so badly, I ordered this. I applied it several times during the day especially after hand washing and it helped my hands a lot. I use this in conjunction with the L'Occitane shea butter hand cream.

A little goes a long way, so this will last a while. I purchased the duo from HSN and shared with a friend.

I don't wear any polish as I think it's bad for my nails. To get a natural shine I use a motorized rotary nail buffer made by Silk'n. Every few days I buff to keep up the shine. It looks like you have a clear coat on. I've given up on nail treatments I don't think they help at all. Natural is best for my nail health. I take collagen and it really makes my nails strong and they grow fast.

I use Nailtiques, and jojobo oil on my cuticles.  Never have my nails looked this good.  I do my own nails, instead of going to a salon.
