I have them as well and my left thumb nail splits down the center when it even slightly grows out. Another thing about nails if you don't have moons on your fingernails besides your thumbs that is a sign of a thyroid issue.

@fairydogmother  thanks for recommending the Hard as Hoof nail strengthening cream. I've only been using it for two days but my cuticles are so moisturized and I also use it on my heels. Can't wait to see what it does for my nails.
