Re: Finally found something that worked for me

Wow thanks for sharing your pictures. Your skin looks beautiful. I'm using a similar routine to yours. I'm using NCN' s Vitamin C Serum, .05% Retin-a every other night, and I use the Missha Essence which has Niacinamide. I also have a Mizon (Korean brand) sleeping mask with Niacinamide. After seeing your pictures, I'm going to use the sleeping mask every night for a week and see if I see any difference. The ingredients are not really specific to a mask so I'm sure I can use it nightly. I also have discoloration. I used as prescription hydroquinone which got rid of most of my spots but I still have some left.

I signed up for emails on Dr. Jonathan's website. Is that the Cranberry oil you're using? I'm well stocked on oil right now but I would like to try this one.

Re: Finally found something that worked for me

Thank you! The funny part about the before and afters was noticing that in the after I had applied my Joan Rivers great day hair powder at my roots and the before looked frightening with the gray coming in hahaha! I said to myself dang, coulda made a better effort there Buttercup. But yes, I've never seen photos like this for any product and when I do see photos I feel like sometimes the model is making a slight facial expression to make a line look deeper in the before or something. Maybe it's just my suspicious nature but I'm never impressed with photos. To be honest, if it wasn't me and if I hadn't taken them myself I wouldn't believe these. I keep looking at my face and touching it and wondering when it went from what it was before to this. I didn't notice till the pics. I had taken pics intermittently but it didn't seem to show up till now. Now I see what people mean when they say that retin a changes texture and makes skin behave differently. I used it as a 20 something when it first came out when I had some forehead zits and it wasn't known for anti aging then. Of course I didn't notice anything because I was a kid and my skin was youthful. Now I see what the big fuss is about. I wanted to quit a few weeks in because the peeling and shedding was just horrible. A few people told me to hold on because a lot of people quit and say it does work but they haven't given it enough of a chance. I really should have buffered and used less frequently then I did or maybe used the .25 strength instead but it has worked out for the best now and I'm committed to it. I have 4 tubes on the way to me now for $36 from overseas so I won't have to order for a year. I know that if you stop using it your skin goes back to how it was so I'm going to make this like a medication I have to use regularly!

Re: Finally found something that worked for me

Myshell yes, I first got into the cranberry seed oil from Lannies post (where is she?!! Thanks lady!). Here....I used his eczema cream and the oil and I LOVED that oil. I ordered from him repeatedly and then I defected and ended up buying 4 ounce containers of it from the lotioncrafters website for about $20 because....I am cheap. It was 1/4 of the price. I like dr J's better but the lotioncrafters is fine. I use a lot of it and it was getting $$$ to keep rebuying so getting a large container for less makes sense for me. I got some dropper bottles off of amazon and I portion out the oil into 1 ounce dropper bottles for easy use. I really do think this ponds cream is incredible. I wish I took pics of my forearms, the difference is wonderful. You can see a bit of it on my chest too.

Thanks! Most of my damage is on my face but I do see some spots popping up on my chest too. Do you apply Retin-a and Vitamin C to your chest or just the Ponds cream?

Edited- i forgot to ask. I are you using the Ponds for Normal to Dry skin or Normal to Oily?

Re: Finally found something that worked for me

Oh heck ya, I treat my neck and chest just as I do my face. I apply the retin a on my chest too. Vit c too. The clarant b3 goes on my arms and chest and face when I'm not using the retin a. I'm happy that the jar is enormous and it's so cheap. That allows me to get rid of some damage on my arms too. Despite wearing sunscreen religiously and even reapplying during the day my chest and forearms are splotchy with freckles and papery skin. It's different now. The texture of my chest completely changed. It's so much smoother and firmer. I still have that horrible wrinkly skin if I'm in a certain position but when I'm just sitting or standing normally my chest skin looks firm and smooth and has way better clarity than before. Im way less self conscious. I was starting to wear burka like wraps to cover my arms and shoulders lol

Re: Finally found something that worked for me

Oh I use the ponds for normal to dry skin. My skin is like the Sahara. I got a script for the retin a from my general dr and sent a pic of it to progressiverx and now that it's on file I can get it as often as I like as refills. No limits. They charge $9 for. 20g tube if the .5 cream. A 40g tube was $256 at my local DS. $200 at rite aid. I used the goodrx app and got it down to $57 at cvs but $9 worked for me Smiley Happy. It took a week to a rice from India and $5 to ship. They quoted 21 days though. It's made by johnson & johnson and is legit.

I'm dry too so I'll try the one you're using.

I get my Retin-a for $22 with free shipping and no prescription. The lady I buy from is in Arizona and gets her stuff from India. Mine is by Johnson and Johnson too so it's probably the one you're using. She also discounts for buying in multiples which is what I plan on doing next time. I wanted to make sure I could use it before I ordered multiples.

Re: Finally found something that worked for me

Ohhhh that's wonderful!! Is it the retino a in the white box with red lettering in Hindi? That's what I'm getting too! Apparently India had the largest amount of pharmaceutical manufacturing plants outside the us and the diff in price is mind blowing. From what I understand the actives are the same but the base cream may be a little different. It's working wonders for me. I'm curious as to what the US version feels like but not curious enough to pay 10x the price at my local rite aid. I buy the 20g tube for $9, they don't carry the 45 g tube.
